PokerStars finalizes acquisition of Canadian gaming company, Amaya Gaming The online poker giant PokerStars has announced the completion of its $4.9 billion acquisition of Canadian gaming company Amaya Gaming. The move makes PokerStars the world's largest online poker operator, with a market cap of over $10 billion. The acquisition was first announced in August, and faced some opposition from shareholders of Amaya Gaming. However, the deal was finally approved by Amaya's shareholders last week.
